Nearly twenty-five thousand homes in Queensland's southeast were left experiencing outages on Monday's dawn after intense storm systems passed over the state, producing wind gusts topping 109km/h.

Large Frozen Precipitation and Widespread Damage

Residents observed large ice chunks measuring up to seven centimeters in some areas. The Bureau of Meteorology verified that multiple regions across the state had been affected by significant hail.

Rescue organizations responded to over five hundred emergency reports across the area, mostly for structural issues but also for collapsed vegetation and flooding.
